This video describes the meaning of good faith. Understanding that the principles of mediation are based upon an ethical decision by all parties to enter a confidential process of negotiation with the mutual goal of reaching consensus or resolution is key to success. If a party enters a mediation with ulterior motives, such as to learn something that could be used later in a court of law, the party has displayed "bad faith" and as such, a good mediator will see this and end the mediation.
